Cask 1316, 483 bottles, Sherry butt. Almost certainly the strongest 39-year-old
whisky on the market, this Sherry butt must have remained remarkably tight over
its near four decades of maturation! The nose is rich, delicious and complex,
with honey, cinnamon, sultanas and orange marmalade, not to mention some smoke.
Rich on the palate, with medium-dry Sherry, fruit and toffee, plus a hint of
oak. The finish is long and robust, yet refined, with toffee, spicy oak, and a
suggestion of smoke. A glorious whisky!

Usually it will degrade when aged over 39 years, I think that the body will be thinner, but this bottle is one that boasts the highest frequency in the family cask series. It was alive like a burning flame, not at all. Is there a secret in an aging room or barrel? I have been given the opportunity to drink Far classes recently but as a feature of the 1960 's and 1970' s, I felt that it would be two choices, feeling a large salt in the finish and feeling a dairy system like fresh cream ing. Is this also saying that even though it was written as a sherry barrel, the source was large and the two characteristics were different Sherry was produced. I would like to express my thanks to adamo who is the provider. 10 When added with water, fragrance and flavor are separated into each and it becomes easy to understand. Only one drop will be the best.

Tasting notes by the producer (George S. Grant):

A dark amber-bronze colour. Full-bodied Glenfarclas, very deep and mature, complex fruit, sultanas and marmalade. A strong powerful Glenfarclas, I believe it is the strongest we have ever released at this age.

The aromas are intense with rich tones of honey, vanilla, liquorice, cinnamon, raisins, and a hint of peat smoke.

This whisky has many layers to delve through. It is like a layered cake with fruit on top, honey caramel and toffee in the middle, with dry oaky spiciness and a slightly smoky finish.
    Bottled 2006.
