- Aroma: open, thick, raisin-malt. The first wave of dark raisins, dates, red fortified wine, sweet and sour cherry jam. Further malt constituents appear: dry grain, bran, barley porridge, vanilla pastry; floral aromas, some spicy spices, there is a slight sensation of burning, like leaking fruit on a baking sheet.
Taste: sweet-spicy, plenty of spices - cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, dried orange peel, berry sourness, dark raisins, dates, slightly burnt berry jam, vanilla, dark chocolate, pleasant woody bitterness.
Finish: medium length, dark raisins, decaying spices, oak, black chocolate, bitterness of zest.
The result: a great sherry speyside, dense, rich and at the same time soft and delicate. Multifaceted, which is picked up by younger Glenfarklasam. You can safely recommend lovers of sherry exposure, because this 15 is definitely not the worst for your money
- Wonderfully fruity and creamy.
- Well balanced dram but a bit boring.
