6 users have left 6 reviews for this whisky. Average rating is 77.35 points.

  1. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

That fits, not too strong, not too weak, nice single grain profile, appropriate to the age. Delicious whiskey.
    • Nose
Bourbon-like note, coconut, vanilla, sweet and creamy. Simple but pleasant
    • Taste
Very sweet, a pleasant tingle, oak, coconut, vanilla, a subtle alcoholic touch. But also a nice spice.
    • Finish
Unfortunately rather short on oak, coconut, Grain with a slight bitterness and a hint of mint.

  3. Boletus did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

A beautiful single grain, which, thanks to the well-matured barrels, brings out some aromas intensively without going overboard in complexity. It is wonderfully drinkable and has no alcoholic sharpness.
    • Nose
Deep oak, hickory, nice roasted aromas, sweet chestnuts, a hint of furniture polish, vanilla emerges, fresh bread, light rolling tobacco and light leather
    • Taste
Extremely sweet start, demerara, lime, clear oak note, leather, light rolling tobacco, rum-grape-almond-chocolate, polished grain
    • Finish
Medium length, sparkling oak, Demerara is clearly evident again, limes, almonds, lots of vanilla, chocolate, rum balls, a hint of cinnamon, the sweet chestnuts appear as a late aftertaste

    very woody

I put this up against Compass Box Hedonism and thought this was better. For the price, instant buy if you want to have an aged grain in the house.

  6. Xaver did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    • Nose
Sweet wood, a stitch glue. Vanilla, a pleasant load of caramel and something like pear brandy. The wood is coming through more. Artificial coconut. Reminds me of coconut sunscreen. Mixed, light fruit compote. Warm waffles, like baking cookies.
    • Taste
But very spicy, almost sharp start. But not owed to the alcohol. A really surprising spice. But is soon replaced by a creamy, artificially sweetened coconut. Vanilla, caramel, even some chocolate. Ne track leather and also in the taste of this spicy-sweet fruit compote.
    • Finish
Short to medium long and slightly bitter. Sweetened mint tea develops and stays a little longer.

  7. Noface83 scored this whisky 80 points Specialist

Nose: light and fresh with a lot of vanilla, coconut, porridge, caramel and slightly light cooked fruits. More like a bourbon (but without the heavy wood) than a scotch. Not very complex but quite pleasant and own.
Taste: soft but sparkling onset, vanilla pudding, grated coconut, but now clearly wood but without strong bitterness, creamy and extremely sweet to the rear, some pepper now and then in the short finish a damn violent sweetness, overripe papaya, vanilla and short fresh wood again before it fades completely. Sweet and tasty without showing depth and finesse.
Conclusion: Simple whiskey with exactly the right alcohol strength but more like a bourbon than scotch and therefore falls somewhere in between and it has probably hard to find a target audience. As an example how a grain whiskey can be well suited but with 50 EUR a bit too expensive for that.
