    Very cool bottle and incredibly complex. Especially the nose can convince.
    • Nose
      The description applies to the first smell completely. A PX stitch in the nose, which makes the high percentage of alcohol clearly noticeable. Then bright kaffeoten make themselves wide. Milk chocolate, plums and leather. In addition a lemon-like sweetness. Great complex.
      With water much more restrained and not so pungent in the nose. Cedar wood notes and sweet cocoa notes are more apparent.
    • Taste
      Slightly prickling on the nose. Now a fruitiness is spreading. Lemon, cherry, pear, oranges.
    • Finish
      Medium-length finish. A very strong orange and sweet note. Crowned with a little cherry. Great combination between the sweetness of the orange and the liveliness of the lemon.

    Complex,young and lovely sweetness. 
    • Nose
      The px influence clearly present. Toffee,dulce the leche, sherry notes, linseed oil and some apothecary notes indeed. Complex ,young.
    • Taste
      All kind of flavours: sweet sherry notes,treacle toffee,molasses, gingerbread, chocolate, raisins. Adding water more wil come;sauna-wood, sandal-wood, brown sugar and sweet custard.
    • Finish
      Long and lovely. Sweet ginger cake,toffee notes, and pudding,tobacco leaf and in the end tar.

    SMWS Notes: The PX influence is immediately discernible on the nose – cinder toffee, dulce de leche, sherry trifle and clootie dumpling*. It also has linseed oil and apothecary notes. The substantial palate is appetising, with flavours of sweet sherry, treacle tart, treacle toffee, molasses, gingerbread and chocolate-coated raisins. Adding water excites aromas of sauna wood and sandalwood incense to the nose, as well as brown sugar and custard Danish. The palate finds Jamaican ginger cake, sticky toffee pudding, hessian, tobacco leaf and tar. This is an inviting, welcoming dram that could be served with savoury tapas, such as Serrano ham, or with dessert. (*Scottish dessert of dried fruits, suet and spices boiled in a cloth or ‘cloot’). Previously matured in an ex-bourbon hogshead.
