    the finish would be a bit shorter and more interesting would be 88 to 89 points that's 85 points but it was exciting and he tasted me too Thank you :)

      First, it smells smooth, cool, delicate smoke among yellow fruit in detail: firm peach meat in damp leaves, some smoke from the campfire blowing through the trees, cinnamon someone has poured some water, maritime notes develop, salt, iodine, sea air (there is also hiding Dieter's cowshed), beautifully combined with earthy fruity notes, I also find Volkers hay in green

      surprisingly spicy fruity onset It glows hot spicy on your tongue Your mouth is getting wet ... mmh it remains apricot jelly with dried mango & ash on wood Mouth of the 2nd: everything wildly confused, tingling, wood, acidity, intense, glowing, the damp barrel, fading ash, yellow fruit in the whole mouth, white pepper, a lot of spice, hot and cooling like spicy mint sauce, it is sweet, but could tolerate more sweetness, rather fruity earthy he is gone - then this hot & cool feeling remains in the mouth like spicy mint sauce Your mouth is ethereally cool, stunned with the hot feeling of sharpness

      very very long - too long few notes a feeling like an essential menthol tablet got stuck in my throat something earthy fruity as a note behind it

    Exciting wine barrel maturation. Must not hide behind various Islay competitors, but would like to have a longer finish. Nevertheless: a fine (young) droplet. wlk 18-4
    • Nose
      Sweet smoke with a nice and clear wine note. Clearly Black Forest ham, camp fire smoke, spicy herbs. Cinnamon. Hot tar paper, salt. A menthol note. Red berries bring in a fruity twist. Fine-sour chocolate, leather, tobacco. Despite the freshness of the wine a rather dark nose.
    • Taste
      Very smoky in the beginning, at the same time a berry sweetener spills onto the tongue. Pleasant herbal notes, lots of dark chocolate and freshly roasted coffee beans. In between, a slightly soapy touch, as you sometimes find in older Springbanks or in one or the other Bowmore. But it passes quickly, so that it does not disturb. With time salty and also the herbs increase in intensity. Continue with chocolate and later again the red berries. Menthol at the end.
    • Finish
      Just medium in length, still neat smoky (smoked ham), milk chocolate and a dash of honey. Still cooling menthol.

    Very interesting malt.

    By the sharpness emanating from him, nothing for wimps.

    • Nose
      First without water: cooling smoke, after smoked foods raisin-sour cowshed-anise - herbs, dried parsley

      With water: he is creamier -süsser- vanilla- Haserlnusskrokant
    • Taste
      Without water: coal dust menthol, ginger bitter liquorice

      With water:

      Has a lot of ginger in the taste - pepper and menthol.

      Cinnamon raisin snail baked in a wood oven.

      The alcohol is well integrated.
    • Finish
      Very - very long as one would to a Dr.. Hiller's peppermint sweet suck.

      You have something in your mouth after an hour

    Blind tasting. The wine is not particularly vinous, but it comes through rather a strong barrel wort. Great whisky, rather on the dry, a bit cumbersome side.

      Sweetish fruity on the nose, slightly smoke, sherry, leather, spicy.
    • Taste
      In the mouth then warm, quite tart, peat, sherry, leather, dark chocolate.
    • Finish
      The finish then on peat, sherry and bitter chocolate. Very tart, but pleasant.

    Through the different barrels Ballechin / Edradour manages to surprise me again and again with extraordinary flavors. So this whisky offers in addition to the typical Ballechin smoke and the expected berry wine aromas a very clear herbal sweet note. While this is really interesting, it's a bit intrusive to me personally, which does not quite match my taste. As a surprise whisky, however, it will be fun to have fun with friends.
    • Nose
      The first nose is characterized on the one hand by the typical strong Ballechin smoke, which I would describe as a very dry camp fire smoke with additional spicy and earthy aromas. On the other hand, an almost intrusive sweet herb sweet note (sage, thyme) and wine barrel typical fresh fruit notes (red grapes, cranberries, wild strawberries). Aromas of salty-sweet flame salmon, crepe with bourbon vanilla and aromatic dark chocolate with coffee bean splinters also develop over time. Overall, the malt is a little softer and sweeter.
    • Taste
      Again, the sweet herbal candy notes along with the earthy-carbonaceous smoke set the tone. Behind it are fruity juniper berries and some dry cedar wood.
    • Finish
      In the finish, the sweetness goes back a little, leaving the taste of a smokey Ricola sweets, together with mossy smoke flavors, a little dry ash and juniper berries in the mouth.

    Ein interessanter Ballechin. Die Weinnote hätte für meinen Geschmack etwas ausgeprägter sein können und hätte die Fruchtkomponente etwas mehr zum Vorschein gebracht. So dominiert im wesentlichen die Kräuterküche. Dennoch ein guter und kräftiger Whisky und es macht wie immer Freude die verschiedenen Fassexperimente von Edradour und Ballechin zu entdecken - 08.06.2017

      Süßlicher Lagerfeuerrauch, Speck, dahinter verbirgt sich eine süßliche Weinnote, dunkle Beeren, über dem ganzen liegt ein salzig-maritimer Teppich der sich mit erdigen Tönen mischt, Anis, Eukalyptus, Kräuter, Salbei, Thymian 
    • Taste
      Aromatische Süße, Ingwerschärfe prickelt im Mundraum, leicht kühlend, der süße Lagerfeuerrauch wird hier zur kalten Asche, sehr holzig, Eiche, Pappkarton, Walnuss, Kräuterbonbon, Kräutermix, Salbei, Karamell, zum Schluss macht sich eine Klebstoffnote bemerkbar die Weinnote empfinde ich als weniger intensiv, auch die Fruchtkomponenten sind eher rar, mit gutem Willen lassen sich rote Beeren, sogar Heidelbeere und Blutorange erahnen
