- Barely 8yo Speyside bourbon matured.. Wish me luck.
Typical simple and young Speyside nose. Quite a lot of sour off notes. Also sweetness. Just an ordinary Speyside profile that was to immature to bottle. Luckily water makes it a little more accessible and pleasant.
Again young. Very much new-make-like. Sweet, Sharp, alcoholic and unripe fruit. With water A little more soft but also a very ‘empty’ palate. I can’t make a lot of sense out of it.
Woody, dry, spirit and sulphur. At CS medium Length but that is not quite a blessing. I’m getting gooze bumps when swallowing, it is utterly disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend buying it and if your one of the unlucky ones with a sample, think twice before pouring it in or at least pour it with cola in the mix...
- Bourbon Hogshead 1724-4280/ Dist: Nov 2008 Btl: 2017/ Tasted: Nov 2017
Very sulphured and feinty with cold tea and a serious cardboard overload! Beneath there’s possibly hints of barley and grass, but who knows!
The palate is not quite as bad as the nose, but it’s still cardboardy with hints cereal, sugar and citrus. Again there’s a cold tea note and it finishes with lingering cardboard.
A drop of water brings out some lemon and vanilla on the nose and palate but the spirit is pretty poor and I doubt leaving in the cask for another decade would do a lot for it!

I totally agree with him, tried a sample after these reviews and I found this is a very bad whisky. Then googled some reviews and found this one, spot on. Thank god I am not the only one.
- Young and stormy, but no longer in the whisky kindergarten. Not quite balanced, but interesting and delicious. Characterful oak in the finish. Spicy, some pepper. Honey, vanilla and grass. Exciting malt. Whether the OA can keep up?
- Beautiful malt, wonderful honey note;
Fruity and sweet, honey, grassy?
Strong, very sweet, again honey, with water significantly more wood / oak, adstingierend;
- Very pleasant whisky, does somewhat young still, but certainly delicious.
Fruity, peach. Also sweet, honey. Somewhat rubbery smell also, alcohol not very prominent
Initially a pepper, but it disappears quickly. Sweet (honey) and fruity, peach again, also some orange. Full taste.
Light peppers still, and here also the fruitiness of peach and honey-like sweetness. Mid-length.
