It is a great whisky with not much flaws. A great value of money and a sherry monster.
    • Nose
Pungent alcohol, Sweet sherry, dates, beewax, almonds, all you expect from a sherried modern Springbank. Flawless.
    • Taste
Very sweet again, leather, dates, Licorice, milk chocolates.
    • Finish
Short to medium, OK for a whisky of 13 years. Coffee beans

The fragrance is rich: dried fruits, expressed plum, it eventually seems to dry, passing into the fragrance of prunes. In taste, too, the plum, this time in the form of compote. Finish with ostrinkoy, spices and jam.

N- Although a shy Springbank that aren't as bold and expressive as some of their single cask releases, even so are at high par with well define characters. Freshly baked vanilla chocolate cake, classic spices with citrus oil, salted caramel and layer with infused mineral.

P- Caramelized ginger, pomerol and citrus oil, tropical fruit, some lychee, nutmeg and guava.

F- Medium, salty dry, full and rounded with sweet herbs smokes.

Not a sherry or peat monster, but that's why we're drinking Springbank right?
    • Nose
Strong alcohol burn, but if you are patient you will be rewarded with some cream sherry, Deglet Nour dates, greased machine parts, and peat.
    • Taste
Sticky Medjool dates (that is to say much sweeter and less caramel than the nose), fruitcake, peat of course, and Ricola drops.
    • Finish
Short, coffee, leather.  Quite bitter for such a young whisky.  The finish is where this really fell short... no pun intended.
