    nose:
    cereals, vanilla, lemon, caramel, smoke
iodine then with spray, algae return,
hazelnuts too, a few pits, undifferentiated candied fruits appear there
    mouth:
peppery spices, dark chocolate, a little tar and cooked caramel, zan, then the liquorice bar, the peat well present, which clears the smoke, a little bitterness occurs, sign of a fairly young product, then cold coffee, liquor rather sweet coffee
    final:
bitterness, dry oak on oak, slightly camphor, peat and soot, medium.

Iodine, maritime character, some smoke. Like blown campfire ash cloud on the seashore, bit salty, bit peppery. Some hints of fruits, maybe citruses, lemon zest, burnt caramel develops over the time. After some time some worn woon in the background, mineral notes.
    • Taste
      87 87
Caramel, iodine, some wood, some unsalted crackers, cane sugar, some caramel, maybe green pepper? burnt flan, some tobacco like in italian cigarillos, some apple pie at the back?
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium to long, malty, some smoke hints, ash continues alongside with baked nuts & peppery notes

I like it very much. Although very young, you can easily leave out the water. Not necessarily what I expected from a Sherry Cask, that's why the whisky surprises me. I'd like to say it again, but unfortunately I had only one sample and unfortunately it does not exist.
    • Nose
Intense smoke, but no pure peat smoke, more so fish smoke / sea smoke. My smoker smells like that when it has cooled down. Not in the negative sense, I like that, has something maritime. In the background, some dried fruit that I can not further classify.
    • Taste
The smoke is coming much later. In the beginning dominate a strong dark chocolate, pepper, citrus fruits and strong oak. Coffee accompanies both.
    • Finish
Smoky finish with a lot of oak, cappuccino, medium-long.

Beautiful young Islay. Is tastier with each sip ...
    • Nose
      88 88
Young-looking smoke, strong, maritime, dry and initially little fruit. After some time, figs, dates and prunes develop, but generally more restrained, iodine and herbs, pepper are added.
    • Taste
      87 87
Soft, pleasant mouthfeel. Maritime notes prevail, smoke, subtle sweetness, honey, dark fruits are still recognizable, tobacco, toasted notes, dark, followed by a pronounced Pfeffrigkeit, aschrauchig.
    • Finish
      88 88
Pepper, smoke, sweetness and a little oak remain on the tongue, espresso and roasted flavors, medium to long
