Nose: quite strong alcoholic scent. Settles down with time and some drops of water. Some acidity, sour cherrys, but apples, pears, vanilla, leather can also be found.

Taste: Good mouthfeel, sweet in the beginning, marshmallows coming through. Lemons . Peppery. With some water there is also some chocolate and caramel.

Finish: decent finish that lingers on for a while. Peppery.

I do like this one, needs some time to discover. Enjoyable. Liked it better diluted with a few drops of water.

I like very little, the nose is really uncomfortable, the taste gets a lot out there and is at least somehow interesting, especially for a GF.
    • Nose
What the heck is that, fresh wood chips as the only one in the nose first, dust, sand paper, unripe pear, vanilla, hay, gym, pebbles and glue
    • Taste
Pear, apricot, white pepper and hay, the sandpaper is unfortunately still there, charred oak, pebbles, glue, furniture polish, pineapple with shell
    • Finish
Dry, acid, malt, pepper and hay, medium to long

Beautiful PX nose, sweet, but also some acid and leather. Beautiful cereals and fruit will then continue. Greasy, beautiful stimulation of the alcohol that quickly turns into a storm of flavors. fruit, tutti frutti, vanilla, weather leather, wood, marshmallow and caramel. Lingers for a long time and slowly fades. Delicious

    Where is Glenfarclas? :-)

Very special and interesting dram. The PX is sweet, sour & spicy at once. Very strange dram that I like because there is a lot to discover but certainly will not meet all tastes.

    SMWS tasting notes:

Nosing this neat we struck up an acquaintance with a fruity, slightly tart, blackberry lemon Pavlova – tender crisp on the outside, sweet and marshmallow-y inside. It was love at first sniff and we celebrated with a glass of raspberry lemonade Champagne punch and rum-spiked roasted caramelised mangos. With water we entered a wine cellar in a French chateau and enjoyed sipping sweet wines with paté, mousse and cured ham nibbles and as dessert, chocolate-covered grapes. After 18 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, we transferred this whisky directly into a 1st fill American oak Pedro Ximenez hogshead for the remainder of its maturation.
