Edit 25-03-2019: the second dram out of my sample and this has not improved. I'd say it has become even more bitter. The finish at this moment is downright unpleasant.
Fresh, sweet and sour but initially also rather closed. Water opens it up a good deal. Vanilla, sour apple, a little peach, canned fruit mix, icing sugar, honey, grassy, dusty wood. All in all really ok.
Sharp and hefty on alcohol, quite oily, needs water and time. Develops into vanilla notes, fruitcake, oranges, grapefruit, white pepper and quite some wood bitters.
Lingers in the short to mid range. Pretty one dimensional, dry, lots of bitter oak wood spices and some general honey like sweetness.
