- It is very different from the 1986 Glensburg Glenburgie (WID: 102755). Much less fruit. Of course he has vanilla. In addition, some cereal notes. Also beautiful oak notes are there. What surprised me is that I also resonates quite strongly pronounced so a pear note. It's sort of the way you know it from young whiskys. Overall, he also looks younger than he actually is. He will not blow me over now. It does not offer what I expected from the key data.
Light, sour. Green apples, limes, unripe mango. Wet chalk, dry white wine. Wild grasses.
Banana chips, chopped almonds, honey. Lavender, liquid soap. Artificial sweetness.
- this malt has many faces - they alternate - honey, oak and spices are very good - the bitterness somehow spoil the fun - really a pity - 88 points without the false mark - with only 83
Tart, creamy oak, a certain metallic bitterness - which reminds me of metallic youth but does not come from this, this flies after a short time almost completely, but spicy honey rises with very beautiful oak - sweet warm oak tones, many spices, very yummy and intensive
on the palate again this metallic note (could also be grassy - but reminds me of metal) as initially in the nose - carries a certain neutral bitterness and represents a false note for me. Otherwise he is nice and sweet, with well-balanced oak, slightly tingling with mint - slightly mineral, full-bodied spicy, light acidity
spicy, sweet, mint, oak, long, slightly bitter
