  1. vojt466 scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

Floral and fruity, uncomplicated malt with drier finish. Nothing special but not bad at all. Easy sipper that could be bit better with 43% ABV..

Forest honey, vanilla, sweet with delicate wood and mild bitterness, soft, round, light sherry notes, raisins, syrupy viscous, great quality for this price

Drinking but slightly unilateral, rather mellow whisky. Bottle purchased from Lisbon Airport and tasted at home in 2015-2016.
    • Nose
Honey-melon (very mature), almond, rubber, not very fresh scent.
    • Taste
Over-fruity fruit, slightly flowers, bitter almond oil. I'm also a bit oily mouthpiece.
    • Finish
Medium, alcoholic and fairly sharp aftertaste.

  6. granella2003 scored this whisky 76 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Round and full aromas of heather, honey and sweet pineapple with subtle notes including toffee, cereal and vanilla.
    • Taste
A thick, almost syrup-like texture reminiscent of the thickness of a liqueur

    • Finish
The long, dry finish is characterized by its full honey flavor with a spicy flavor and a bitter notes of oranges.

  9. Jonkers scored this whisky 79 points Expert Senior

The nose is the best part of this whisky. Because of that the balance is not perfect. Fairly good aperitive.
    • Nose
Malty, floral and fresh. Also sweet. A hint of butterscotch and raisins. Vanilla.
    • Taste
Oily. A little anise and fairly sharp and bitter because of the presence of some pepper and orange peel. Also the sweetness from vanilla.
    • Finish
Macaroons. Thde bitterness lasts the longest. Rather short and not that impressive.

  10. D3US scored this whisky 76 points Expert Senior

    An average, adequate whisky.
    • Nose
Malty, vanilla sweetness, buttery. Soft fruit and light spice. Caramel.
    • Taste
Soft, sweet vanilla, light spice. Fresh fruit, orange peel bitterness. Buttery again. A little dry.
    • Finish
Sweet after an initial prickle. Vanilla and fruit. Quite short.

  12. gralson scored this whisky 55 points Expert Senior

    average quality whisky
    • Nose
tender, not enough intensive, easily sweetish, as if honey-cake
    • Taste
little intensive, as if soundly dilute, repetition of smell but else more diluted, it will not dirty completely
    • Finish
      lack finish practically

  13. SilentStill scored this whisky 79 points Expert Senior

Still with a pretty nose, this standard does not really convince Aberfeldy on the palate. Still a sure-fit entry-level Highland.
    • Nose
Heather along with a nice malted sweet, honey, and subtle smoke rise into the nose, plus grass / hay.
    • Taste
quite malty, definitely too thin (watery), slightly salty and with a hint of bitterness, which is a bit surprised by the rather sweet nose.
    • Finish
quite flat and not really long.
