Nose: meaty smokiness; smoked bacon. Hay, grassy tones with peat (the dried stuff, not the smoky stuff), bog - with a coastal seabreeze.
Taste: dry and ashy smoke. Hay, lemongrass, white pepper, and a whiff of bitter. Mouthfeel: funny enough it's light around the tongue and in the middle of the mouth, but the walls of the mouth feel like they are coated with a kind of carboleum.
Finish: some yellow fruitiness coming forward: yellow apples. Quite chewy, and linger medium long with a pleasant smokiness and a hint of grass.
Very nicely balanced smoky Ardmore, though you can taste that it is relatively young.
