    Notes taken from my blog
    https://moredramslessdram.com/2019/12/14/quick-review-irish-single-malt-13yo-batch-2-tbwc/

Lovely dram, very fruity, a nice mouthfeel, spices clearly there but not overpowering and a good finish. Pretty good value for £60.
    • Nose
Apple and honey at first, quickly followed by soft oak spices, then a grassy and floral side. It’s slightly pepperish as it’s tingling in your nostrils. With water, the nose seems a bit tone down.
    • Taste
Very sweet arrival before spices (cinnamon and ginger) gently kick in. The mouthfeel is quite thick, good coverage. It’s fruity with melon, cherry, banana and lemon peel. Reduction brings out some tropical fruits and tones down the spices a bit, but just a wee bit.
    • Finish
Medium with fruits fading away slowly, leaving a very slight touch of oak.

    • Nose
Quite light and fruity. Pears, apples, a hint of bananas and fresh lemons in the background. Followed by some vanilla and icing sugar. There’s a grassy note too.
    • Taste
Less fruity than the nose suggests. They are still here, but more towards the background. Creamy texture and it’s somewhat malty. Vanilla. A pinch of salt. Grapefruit. Followed by some spices, like white pepper and ginger.
    • Finish
short to mid-long, with grassy notes and spices.

Nice and gentle Irish whisky. Lightly fruity notes. Fresh but not very long finish. Middle of the road without doing any harm.

Malty and oily. Some alcohol bite. Honey. Spicy.

      Short, but nothing nasty. Sweet.

Tasted this from a sample: Smells fruity (a bit, mainly pears I would say). Tastes fruity but rather thin, a bit alcoholic too - obviously rather young spirit.
    OK, but nothing special -79P

My lovely horse is back though this batch was already released last year in 2017. This year [2018], TBWC released another Irish batch 2, a 12yo.

N: A quiet, dry bourbon cask fruitiness, mainly on honey & lemon.
T: A gentle start before the putty fruits open out a little.
F: Dry sweet putty barley sugars and bourbon candy.
C: Young distillate style, at times more Speyside than Irish, but we know this regions game is a tenuous one. Reminds me most of James Eadie’s Trade Mark X.Scores a C[+]

This is a decent Irish dram, light and fruity, still much preferred the batch 1
    • Nose
Not bad, vanilla, little grass and then typical Irish fruits, but to be honest, batch 1 is much better
    • Taste
      Oaky, fruity, salty, buttery
    • Finish
      Short and grassy

    Well worth a look.
    • Nose
Fresh fruit on the nose - quite a gentle start.
    • Taste
Quite a strong taste - warming.  Traces of bourbon in the background.
    • Finish
A surprising long finish - not as soft as many Irish whiskies.
