- Nice and gentle Irish whisky. Lightly fruity notes. Fresh but not very long finish. Middle of the road without doing any harm.
Lemon peel, honey and malt. Oily. Ground black pepper.
Malty and oily. Some alcohol bite. Honey. Spicy.
Short, but nothing nasty. Sweet.
- Tasted this from a sample: Smells fruity (a bit, mainly pears I would say). Tastes fruity but rather thin, a bit alcoholic too - obviously rather young spirit.
OK, but nothing special -79P
My lovely horse is back though this batch was already released last year in 2017. This year , TBWC released another Irish batch 2, a 12yo.
N: A quiet, dry bourbon cask fruitiness, mainly on honey & lemon.
T: A gentle start before the putty fruits open out a little.
F: Dry sweet putty barley sugars and bourbon candy.
C: Young distillate style, at times more Speyside than Irish, but we know this regions game is a tenuous one. Reminds me most of James Eadie’s Trade Mark X.Scores a C[+]
- This is a decent Irish dram, light and fruity, still much preferred the batch 1
Not bad, vanilla, little grass and then typical Irish fruits, but to be honest, batch 1 is much better
Oaky, fruity, salty, buttery
Short and grassy
- Well worth a look.
Fresh fruit on the nose - quite a gentle start.
Quite a strong taste - warming. Traces of bourbon in the background.
A surprising long finish - not as soft as many Irish whiskies.
- Littlemill from Ireland?!
As a Littlemill fan i’m always searching for affordable (non closed distillery) whisky with the same profile. This comes very close! Could have been bottled a little older but the spider itself has been splendid from day one! Love it!
