Whisky Reviews for Inchmurrin 2003

- Great experiment by the WhiskyNerds. The ex-sherry cask really does lift the ex-bourbon cask to new heights. A great blend of the characters of the two previous releases.
Supremely fruity. Mango, pink grapefruit and lemon peel, softened by a touch of vanilla and honey. But the sherry influence is evident too, with cocoa powder and an array of fruits (strawberries and blackcurrants, for example). It truly is a wonderful blend of aromas of the two earlier releases.
Crazy fruity again. Lots of grapefruit and nectarines, but the lemon also makes a comeback. While there's less bourbon matured Inchmurrin in here, it does seem to have quite a big influence. Might be the extremely fruity distillate though. There is however some milk chocolate, licorice, raspberries and cherry syrup, as well as a mild spiciness.
Fruit juice with a hint of chocolate... Long...
- Enthusiasm: Nose 4/5 Mouth and finish: 5/5 Whisky n ° 1645
Deep, exotic, woody, vanilla! Jam of red fruits (currant), lime, juice and zest.
Exotic fruits spicy, juicy, sweet. I stop talking there, I'm savoring!
In the exact continuity of the mouth, what a pleasure!
- A delicious, intense fruit bomb! Reminiscent of tropical-fruity Littlemills of the 90s, 1991s Irish and removed at the Maria Irish (but without reaching its complexity). Perfectly integrated alcohol.
Water opens it a bit and intensifies the fruit, rounds.
Underbrush, sugar, cranberries, grapefruit, passion fruit, blood oranges, raisins. Wonderfully pure fruity. Dense, deep. Totally animating. With water: Even more exotic-fruity, the undergrowth and raisins are almost completely gone.
Starts full and velvety. Then again a hint of undergrowth and immensely fruity (the fruit from the nose continue), vanilla, neat white pepper, dense, full, intense. Light smoke and again glucose. With water: becomes fuller, more expansive, rounder. To chew. Now reminiscent of the 1991 Irish - exotic fruity.
Also here totally fruity with plenty of vanilla and nice long and persistent. White pepper. The flavors come in waves. With water: even here rounder and more harmonious.
