Borders - While We Wait, Single Grain, 2nd Relase, bottled in 2017. 51.7% alc. Bottler: R&B Distillers. Maturation: Bourbon barrels, maturing in Oloroso sherry barrels

Nose: grain and fruit, mown wheat field. Some apple and dried apricots, spelled biscuits, cranberries. In addition, a distinct sweetness, perhaps maple syrup, a little oak and menthol round off.

Palate: vanilla and maple syrup, honey, some grain, some wood glue. I also find gooseberries, orange jam and a slight aroma of grapefruit, a few raspberries are also included.

Finish: Short and sweet, the slightly bitter citrus fruits on the palate are now giving way to clear honey aromas, with a slightly tart herbal note and a little nutmeg.

Conclusion: clean single grin with a wonderful nose, unfortunately without further information. I'll guess an Invergordon. 81/100 points (2022)

Yes a whiskey - but one that I don't need in the glass again.

Very interesting bottlings, I would probably not have tried them in the first place without warning. But a little insider tip, I really have to say, it has strength. There is another interesting story, because apparently it was supposed to be a different distillery first and then it didn't work out. But I no longer have it exactly on the screen

Malt, biscuit, straw, citrus and also pleasant wood with spices. So great. Vlt. A girvan? No matter, no matter how old, really delicious. Rock sugar and a little vanilla

Honey, coconut, vanilla, malt and some cake. Hardly any glue notes. Also great some aniseed menthol. Has really something to offer for the price, I don't give it any water at first. Over time, peaches and yellow fruits come out in the glass

A little short, here comes a light pepper with honey and grass in the end
