Bunnahabhain Moine, Islay, Oloroso, 15 years, 50%
Sweet red fruits, very grainy, cranberries, wood fire, raisins, burnt plum jam
Red fermented fruit, peppery, plums, chocolate, becoming drier, oak flavor, beautiful heat
Again very grainy, the red fruits are back, a bit bitter, sticking nice and long
- I'm on port, I stand on strong. Therefore, this tobermory is exactly my thing, although the port keg here, especially without water, (clearly?) Clearly dominates. All in all, a great fruit bomb, which also shows edges.
Directly incredibly fruity, sweet red berries, raspberry, cherry juice, slightly sour, the cask strength tickles the nose, behind the fruit bomb hide nuts, a little oak, slightly woody, after some time I have also pepper, the nose is as red as the Color of whisky With water, the nose breaks up and becomes spicier, still fruit-laden, but now creamier with caramel, now you could actually assign the whisky Tobermory, he now has this slightly dirty touch. In the nose, he definitely wins with a few drops of water.
starts sweet and oily, raspberry, sweetened, again slightly sour, cherry, the nuts are also there and then bring a drier mouth feeling, alcohol well integrated, you can drink without problems without water, the second sip clear oak notes. Here is the difference with water is not so great, and, after I found it in the nose, here too the Tobermory basic character to think, overall creamier, supple and less dry with water, but it does not necessarily need.
rather dry with nuts and oak, refined with the still present fruit sweetness, long and warming
