    Colour: Gold

    Body: Full

Nose: From two feet away you can smell the floral smoky complexity. Flower petals, floral oak, oily Ledaiggian smoke, lovely meaty gristiness, smoked aged meat, orange and lemon peel, dry floral oak, something slightly rancid but in a good way! More developing with some interesting soap and bubblegum (any other whisky that would be a major off note, but this pulls it off).

Taste: Dry arrival, floral oak, lots of sharp sour lemon juice (in a good way), grapefruit, a little lime, almost a little fizzy, then more oily, gristy, chocolatey, slight meaty note like aged smoked meat, white grape, white florals and some minerality like a good white wine. A little too sour to begin but develops very well.

Finish: Long length. Fucking good! Really very long. Very complex. Oils, lemon peel and a little juice, layered and evolves. Some amazing leather, dark chocolate and roasted coffee but balanced by the lemon and floral oak. There's a little interesting soap note too.

Finished for 2 years. What a whisky, and what a finish. Immediate buy if you happen to be in Mull. Pick me up a bottle or two for me as well would you? Thanks. (Side note: this was my 700th whisky!! Whoo!)

Drank it in comparison with the 18-year-old batch # 2. The 20-year-old is noticeably better and the point here is not only in a higher abv. More rounded, more refined, sea flavors are not so much bulging, the influence of wine, in my opinion - is minimal.

a cowhole Ledaig unmistakably - the Moscatel finish makes it very difficult in my opinion - looks much younger
    • Nose
clearly the sour cowshed atmosphere, the white wine finish behind it
    • Taste
peppery spicy, a lot of sugar sweetness, dirty smoke, green apples
    • Finish
      lang, rauchig, süß

On the International Whisky Day you need to drink your favorite whisky. That's why I have Ledaig! Traditionally very rich, wicker, whisky shurpa.
    • Nose
      89 89
Traditionally rich flavor, exotic boiled soup, boiled eggs, mineral, husked lime, plum with spices, bread, black oil, peat, industrial style, vegetable and meat dish, raisins, fish ears, smoked duck, cow, oily, oily, meat stew, buckwheat honey, buckwheat with milk, fried baked apples, herbs, vanilla. The scent is developing and gaining momentum over time.
    • Taste
      91 91
Very tasty, traditionally rich and meaningful, saltiness flows into moderate sweetness, pepper, butter, boiling, meat soup (shurpa), a lot of honey, peat, some not too sweet exotic fruits.
    • Finish
      90 90
Long, pepper, gradually sweet honey (buckwheat honey), smoked peat, meat shurpa, oak, dryness.
