Whisky Reviews for Penderyn Aur Cymru
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 78.92 points
- Fragrance: open, immediately diverse synthetic fragrances and their derivatives; paint, thinner, nail polish remover, malt notes, milk porridge, vanilla, custard, baked milk, biscuit are all superimposed on it. It seems like some incongruous aromas, but everything turned out organically.
Taste: sweet, caramel-lollipop, citrus, canned peach, a little pinching ginger, vanilla, pastries, the same notes of solvent and paint are caught as in the aroma.
Finish: medium length, fairly simple, malt, sweet, light chemistry, zest, bran bread.
Bottom line: a not uninteresting malt came out from the Vali people, it’s a bit rustic, but here a very short exposure probably affects it more. Molt with his face, unusual and memorable, 46% is very welcome here, it turned out tight and knocked down
- Tasted this one blindly, the question was to determine the cask behind the whisky. I did not guess the Madeira cask.
fresh and fruity but also quite honey sweet. bit fatty nose. hot cherries on a pancake.
starts quite good, more wood driven than the nose, quiet sweet. not high in alcohol. hint of anice?
rather short but nice and sweet. perhaps a bit damp.
