    • Nose
In the vein of a Clynelish for wax, with fresh fruit with citric accents, grapefruit and lime limit.
      Fine and mineral
    • Taste
Fine and tangy, quite intense on the spices at the end of the mouth
    • Finish
Hang on a bit in the final. Both citric and tannic. Long and bulky.
Exotic fruits, apricot, creamy on spices, patience will be rewarded.

      Nose & Finale 4/5
      Mouth 3/5

      Whisky n ° 1997

Waxy citrusy spicy, nice mangoes and more exotic fruits on the finish , excellent

    • Nose
      a little wax
      fresh mixed fruits, lemon too
    • Taste
bitterness, then malt, oaky, tannic in the mouth!
spices a little sweet, on nutmeg, wood again, bitterness gives way to fresh fruit (exotic-orchard mix) with mango too
      some caramel, some dry grass
    • Finish
whisky simple and fine at the same time, with a little vanilla, lemon, malt and fruit
feeling of a very good blend very fine in fact.

A dram that perfectly fits the road. Straight in his boots on the whole tasting. Not a great complexity but a real pleasure taste.
    • Nose
Fresh fruits on peach and white-fleshed fruits. There is also some wax and some notes of precious wood.
The woody barrel is also felt.
    • Taste
      Alcohol well integrated.
We are always on the fruit of the orchard but this time the spices mingle with the dance. The wood is always there bringing a hint of bitterness. We perceive a subtle floral note.
    • Finish
Nice length on spices as well as vanilla and vegetal woody.

Sum quite discreet, a nose on the apple, honeyed, on the palate we are on the same aromas with a fairly austere, even bitter oak

The palate improved quite a bit with aeration, it's almost as fruity as the rest now and the alcohol is better integrated than before. Scores one point higher.

Still those fleshy fruits, with a bit less pastry notes. Cotton candy, mango, fresh oranges. Very enjoyable.

Much better alcohol integration than before and nice continuity on mango, yellow peach and cotton candy.
    • Finish
      89 89
      Still great, long, fruity, silky.

Only the palate's relative dryness would prevent me from going higher. My bottle's still almost full : should it change over time and gain more accessibility and alcohol integration on the palate, I certainly could up my score.

It's certainly very fruity, but in its own way. For instance, you could never mistake it for an early 90's Irish, because it's not the same fruity feeling we're talking about. It's kinda sweety - fleshy here, with obvious mango flesh, oranges and mandarines, but some more surprising notes of fresh strawberries as well, which are not common, and deserve praise. We're talking about a good "western" fruit salad here. Yellow peach. Some candy floss and icing sugar, with ideas of drier malty sides, can be felt as well. Touches of white balsamic vinegar. Great nose really.

We're not given the same accessibility or the same easiness of enjoyment here though. The arrival is quite hot, though the texture is great. More straightforward on oranges and white wine, with some flashes of strawberries or even raspeberries on further sips. That said, the malty side is much more prominent here and prevents the whole from feeling fresh and juicy, rather going towards a certain malty and alcoholic dryness.
    • Finish

The finish is actually a superb comeback as lachaineduwhisky said before me. It's very long with a great return on mango and various citrus skins.
