    • Nose
Powerful and closed, it becomes progressively warm. Malt and red fruits struggle to extricate themselves. Chocolate arrives, spices, vinous notes. Quite complex actually. But limit on alcohol cons. With water, it becomes much wiser and can now fully appreciate its great depth, on the toffee and orange peel.
    • Taste
Chilli pepper. Sweet and syrupy texture, on red fruits. Alcohol here is well managed. Discreet peat with vegetal accents.
Otherwise he is swimming very well!
    • Finish
Cooked fruit, bitter chocolate, ultra honeyed. Very warm.
      Water boosts honey and spices.

      Nose 2/5 (4/5 with water)
      Mouth & Finale 3/5

      Whisky n ° 1818

Already very tasty, if the alcohol would not bother something. 84 points are still there.

Red berry fruits. Strawberry. Red Apple. In addition, greasy smoke. Something earthy. Aggressive.

Water: Nutty, floury apples. The smoke is only there very easily.

Sweet and full, but also enormously hot.

Water: now it is delicious and interesting. Very cute. Now also nutty with oranges and chanterelles. Some gravy. Strawberry tart. Already interesting. Still something alcoholic.

Long, ethanol. Dark berries. Subtle smoke.

Smoky, unusual, with such a strong nose open, but not deep. It's not bad, it looks like a young smoky Bunna in the nose. The taste, if only sizzle, is quite ok, and the aftertaste is good)

Great peated port Amrut. No doubt a big one. Pretty pricy though ...

Adored the Portanova hence naturally has high expectation on this peated version. Extremely austere, caramel and toffee concentrate jam. Fat and heavy mouthfeel with peat lifted the sweetness to the roof, more a liqueur than whisky, off balance, bone dry.
