The taste replicates the nose joined by some black pepper that gets stronger and stronger plus a few red chillies.Quite some fire going down, staying long in mid throat. Some lime and menthol appear on the tongue long after swallowing.
All in all an enjoyable wine maturation, that makes you wonder if they filled the casks straight as they got it from the still. Deliberate, or were there not enough casks around at the time?PS: to me water doesn't help. It makes the dram a bit angry and rather sweet and bland, but maybe I didn't give it enough time to settle.
