Tasted this whiskey twice in two consecutive days before rating. Quite disappointed. It is rather bland and doesn't have much to offer.
    • Nose
      70 70
Nothing at all at the beginning, then some sugar, little longan, some dried banana, then, after 10, 15 minutes, there came some cranberries.
    • Taste
      75 75
Immediately dried my mouth, then came bitterness, which lingered.
    • Finish
      70 70
      Some floral note, some sweetness.

A little bit disappointed by this tasting, it is clear that it is not this bottle of Teeling Single Grain that, although pleasant, will make me appreciate bourbon more than in the past. But hey, Teeling has so much better to offer with single malt that it’s not a problem: D

    • Nose
Sweet and fruity, as usually with a single malt from this distillery, we are basically on something lemony with a touch of pear. Then come woody notes and hints of vanilla. Very nice overall, until some vinous acidity, a little bit too much for me.
    • Taste
Clearly a bourbon but very light in the mouth, but not invasive… at first, because the sensation in the mouth is surprisingly changing, after a few moments the alcohol is very much more present. We find the characteristic notes of vanilla with fruity notes. Overall, although pleasant, lacks a bit of complexity and richness.
    • Finish
Medium length (short tendency), a little dry, woody with a hint of vanilla.
