- Good every day dram. I like to drink it. Very sweet and silky. Not expensive and therefore worth the money, even if you should not expect too much. Nikka then has other things in the portfolio.
- Had this dram first during a blind taste event (Proef Olympics Ledendag 2) as the 2nd dram (after the welcome dram), and later on re-evaluated a bit i had left in the sample bottle.
some chewinggum sweetness with glue initially, later on some sweet popcorn and toffees.
quite some dry woodnotes and a sweetness that reminds me of grains... but also of bourbon... (quite difficult this blind tasting...) the finish has a little bit of spiciness next to some dry oaken mouthfeel and taste.
totally clueless i went for an american bourbon... and clueless i was indeed.
Butter, musli with honey, vanilla, marshmallows and sour fruit.
creme brulee, pineapple, again muesli with honey and white grapes
Medium, dry, cereal biscuits, burnt sugar and a touch of fresh fruit.
