As mentioned a nice summer sipper and a great price. If I see it I will grab it.
A light and creamy nose, just like a straight out of the oven fairy cake. Pomegranate seeds, glazed cherries, red apple skins definitely, in fact you can almost taste them. Peatbogger was right, loganberry or Tayberry. This is text book light and fruity.
If this was finished in a sherry cask then it wasn't for long. This is not a bad thing as it works very well, it is more subtle. Back to those red apples and this time you can taste them.
I have tasted a lot of very similar whiskies so there is nothing special about it.
Saying that it is still very enjoyable and it hits the spot. The balance is also good.
A nice fruity medium finish that has some great light touches.
