Whisky Reviews for Ballantine's Finest Scotch Whisky

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.00 points

  1. Kostya did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

A great experience. Unfortunately, this whisky lost its vitality, and now it’s just an echo of what it originally was
    • Nose
Old and weak nose, some light honey in the background, old bookshelves, some mushrooms, rose water, flowers
    • Taste
Seems like this whisky has quite low alcohol strength (approx. 30%) light sweetness, bitter, savory, fusty, port wine, some apples, nutmeg, almond liqueur
    • Finish
Taste fades quickly, some light floral sweetness

  2. z-imaging scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Very good old blend bottled around 1956-8
    • Nose
Sweet and fruity, ripe peaches and apricots, then some green notes - green apples, grass. Some typical old blend notes on wet basement, old books.
    • Taste
Light sweetness, fruits, green apple again. Very good balance, malt and grain components are exceptionally well integrated.
    • Finish
      Medium
