Nose: Bright and sweet. Citrus fruits blending with honey. Some apple as well. Delightful.

Palate: A tad oily. Orange and apples come through immediately. Vanilla lingers with a hint of ginger.

Finish: Medium. Smooth and virtually no roughness. Apples lingering the longest of anything.

Overall Score: 85. This is a delightful whiskey. It isn’t rough around the edges or too demanding on the palate. Very little alcohol burn. Delicious blend of flavors. I picked this one up a year ago and I’ve never regretted it. A fine choice to sit and relax with. Thank goodness for the Banner County!

"The oak from the older casks is just asserting a certain level of definition and distinctiveness to the finish which elevate this whiskey beyond the normal."

Same as batch 2, to me:
A characterful whiskey; elderflower fragrance and taste dominates; otherwise rounded, well balanced; not feinty / not stomach aggravating.

Also an integrity bottling with so much information available. Well done!

    Lovely summer dram
    • Nose
      85 85
Citrus, grassy, yellow fruits like ripe peach and pear, touch of pineapple, and delicate spices. A fresh summer nose.
    • Taste
      85 85
Sirupy arrival, on spices at first, pepper and ginger becoming stronger and stronger. Then fruits from the nose appear with peach, and roasted peppered pineapple with a few drops of lemon juice
    • Finish
      83 83
Medium long, with a light bitterness like an unripe nectarine, with a touch of ginger

A good Irish whiskey. I tried him on "The Village", the Nuremberg whiskey fair. Great drop. Of this bonder (or bonderin) you will surely hear a lot more.

A refreshing fruity blend, very pleasant. The shares of old single malts would have liked to be able to turn a little higher, to deprive the whiskey a bit of the race finish
    • Nose
refreshing nose, lime and fresh mint. Grated coconut and unripe yellow fruit (mirabelle, star fruit), with grass clippings. In the background surprisingly spicy pepper notes that somehow do not want to fit in there
    • Taste
Ginger that dominates the beginning. Lemon fresh and at the same time refreshing mint. Soft texture, creamy vanilla and popcorn notes, before a basket of fruit explodes in the middle section: lime topping, also ripe honeydew melon and peach
    • Finish
again, the somehow idiosyncratic sharpness, relatively entertaining, however
