  2. thijs100 scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

While the nose is pretty pleasant, this struggles to reach 80 points in my book. Bit disappointing after a promising start.
    • Nose
Very light and somewhat tame, but fresh and fruity with a certain maturity. Hints of green apples, also milk chocolate, a touch of honey and vanilla custard. Getting sweeter over time.
    • Taste
Sweet to start, but also somewhat bitter and fairly spicy. The mouthfeel is pretty thin also. Sandalwood, tobacco. Not much left of the fruitiness.
    • Finish
Notes of saw dust, pepper and bitterness. Medium in length.

  4. AdelphosHume scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

In my opinion, the most nuanced of the 3 expressions. It's also my favorite of the 3. The mouthfeel is a bit thinner than the others, but the nose and palate offer more. Not bad for only 40%ABV.
    • Nose
Nag-champa, caramel and mixed-fruits (peaches, raspberries, and dried papaya), light baking spices and honeysuckle, and a soft fade of toasted oak and earthy vanilla.
    • Taste
Toasted oak and barrel char, dried fruits and honeyed-malt, and soft cinnamon and cordial-soaked cherries.
    • Finish
Citrus peel and nectarines, soft oak tannins, and a softly fading floral fruit spirit.

  5. Corso_theRed scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

Inoffensive, sweet-fruity and honeyed. A highly modern type of whisky I reckon. Enjoyable nonetheless.
    • Nose
Blanched ripe apples, vanilla sugar, custard pie, banana bread, and a touch of coconut.
    • Taste
Toffee, apple compote, and orange liqueur. Sweet overall, with a tiny backdrop of oak tannins. Fresh-fruity undertones of caramelized honeydew and ripe pears.
    • Finish
Medium-short. Peach iced tea with artificial sweetener and Werther’s Originals.

A bit middle of the road, but too bitter imho. Also heavily chill-filtered and strongly colored. They could have put it better here.
    • Nose

Sweet, fruity, some pears on juice, some vanilla. This is everyone's friend. Great nose, but not a topper.
    • Taste
      79 79
Oops, tie thin. Some sweet, but also a bitterness. The fruity from the nose is therefore very much compromised. You actually do not taste much more than some sweets and a bitterness.
    • Finish
      80 80
Medium length. In the beginning pretty nice, pears on juice comes back. But the bitter tones then take over, that does not take long though.

  7. Willum scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

The nose is quite interesting (especially if it has been standing for a while) but then it gets less.
Certainly not a dirty dram. It is a bit flat but it is a nice round dram.
    • Nose
      84 84
Soft, sweet, apple, pear, little citrus, caramel / fudge
    • Taste
      81 81
in the extension of the nose ... especially fruity with apples and pear. Then slightly light bitters.
    • Finish
      80 80
      Short and slightly bitter.

  8. Nickolaas scored this whisky 81 points Expert Junior

    • Nose
      84 84
Applejuice, pearcandy, a bit minty, winegum, vanilla, a bit minerally, citrus
    • Taste
      80 80
Vanilla, some orchard fruits, a bit bittery
    • Finish
      80 80
      Medium, bourbonbitter, oaky

The nose promises more than the taste can make. Nice slip-on, not a high flyer.
    • Nose
      85 85
If you immediately put the nose in it, it seems the first best blend, give it time and it will be fruity. Some apple and pear, also a tropical atmosphere in the background. Vanilla.
    • Taste
      82 82
The taste is also overflowing with vitamin C: the apple and the pear are clearly coming back. Furthermore, there is not much happening and it is a bit flat, will also come from the ABV of 40%.
    • Finish
      80 80
      Finish: Short and flat.
