One of the best Speysider 73 that i had...

The typical charakter of these fabulous whiskys is given, but i have to state that the Liquid Treasures is one of the smoothest, even sweetest ones. Not that "spicy" than the also outstanding TWA Art Nouveau Ladies for example...

Yes, it is the same cask.

The same number of bottles, the same 46,5 %vol.

Is this a shared cask? Two low outturns, same abv.

a nice malt - I find the fruit notes less versatile than other Speysidern and he has especially in the nose less fruity acid - but he is at comparatively low residual alcohol strength impressive dense, spicy, powerful and brings a very unique profile - definitely very high quality - From the profile I like the last Maltbarn for 10y anniversary better.
    • Nose
Lemon, lime and green banana, yoghurt with pineapple and a malty sweetness with a hint of sourdough bread, vanilla-coconut-cream dessert that sometimes hints towards Pina Colada, tree sap, light wood with a herbal seasoning which easily sweat on garlic Reminiscent - everything in aromatic very pleasant frame.
    • Taste
sweetened pineapple yoghurt, ginger, oak planks - it starts creamy and becomes more and more peppery - very lively on the tongue, wax, tobacco, pepper, chili, laurel, pine needles, some hardened resin, oak with fine bitterness like walnuts, clear saltiness, slightly mineral (stone meal)

For 46.5% has quite a lot of power - he is not sprittig, but the alcoholic power is still very noticeable - maybe it's the flavors and the pepper - I think it is very productive - can chew very long without thin Act.
    • Finish
fruity, spicy, becoming drier - slight bitterness and light acidity, very spicy - tends to have medium length

Very sirupy and thus very drinkable and probably dangerous - my personal favorite is still the good vibes from the whisky agency because of its fruitiness but to be honest all of the recent speyside region bottlings from 1973 or 1975 are sensational
    • Nose
Honeydew, yellow fruits, peaches, quinces, plums, whiffs of leather, spices, pepper, ginger - a little bit reluctant but probably needs more air - not bad so far
    • Taste
Very oily, creamy, mellow, soft, fruity, more on citrus fruits, lemons, oranges, good sweetness, fine oak wood - very good
    • Finish
Medium long, warm, soft, more spices, not drying
