I decided to go for the tasting session instead of the distillery tour as I've done loads before and you can see the stills from the outside. There was only me on the tasting session so it felt very private. I got to taste the new make, bourbon cask, sherry and wine cask. All I thought were very palatable at 50% and well balanced. My favourite was the sherry cask finish and I bought a bottle in the shop. They were all the same price at £75 and I've noticed bottles on Whiskybase Market for double the price already, shocking. The distillery itself is very modern but has a great and traditional look about it. A bright future for sure.

Fantastic distillery where modern design fits perfectly in the natural environment.

The distillery itself is well conceived and compared to others has more space.

There is a cafe, a restaurant and a nice shop. Apart from few fingal's cut expressions, the only thing missing is whisky. The friendly and warm staff told us there are going to be launched three Lagg expressions between August amd December.

Breathtaking views, especially from cafe terrace.

We visited the brand new Lagg Distillery on the 19th of November to participate on a distillery tour.

The Distillery itself is an amazing, mordern and well into the landscape integrated building. No matter at which spot of the Distillery you currently are, you will alwys have a breathtaking view either to the sea or the surrounding rolling hills.

The staff at the Distillery (espacially our tourguide Robert) where absolutely lovely.

At the Moment there are only some exclusive heavily peated Machire Moor bottlings (Fingals Cut) and the fantastic Newmake, as well as some Merch and local products availabe....but visiting These new Distillery is very highly recommended !

Even if you are not that much into peated Whisky, visiting the cafe is worth the time.

Can´t wait for the first Whisky being released in a few years.

Die Distillerie steht an eigenem wunderbaren Ort , mit traumhafter Sicht

übers Meer hinaus, umgeben mit Apfelallen.

Mich nimmt mal wunder wie der erste Whisky wird.

I was there during the Lagg Cask Society opening on 27.04.2019. Very nice event, where you could visit the whole distillery including warehouses. I like the whole architectural style very much, especially how such a giant thing made of steel and glass could be integrated into the surroundings.

For the opening of the Lagg distillery, the Arran distillery (the one in the north) launched three bottlings with different finishes (Fingal's Cut). All were distilled in 2011 and are 50 ppm peated (sherry, quarter, rum), with the rum finish only due this summer.

A great location as I saw the unfinished buildings on the construction site.

I have seen some of the artist impressions and I was very much impressed.

Will be back again on Arran in the near by future.
