About Asaka Distillery

Asaka Distillery is a Japanese whisky distillery located in Fukushima Prefecture and operated by Sasanokawa Shuzo. It produces malt whisky on site and is part of the company’s expansion into whisky distillation alongside its long-standing involvement in sake and shochu. The distillery contributes to Japan’s regional whisky production outside the main historic centres. Its role focuses on small-scale distillation and maturation for domestic release.
