    Visitor center is so nice.

Now, I'm afraid i noticed a slight change since departure of Jim Mc Ewan and the "changing hands".

Don't like the new Port Charlotte bottle design which tries to look like a small Octomore, while Port Charlotte is more interesting by far for me.

And selection is getting less interesting (prices have increased a lot on most expensive bottling).

Finally the terroir approach Marc Regnier initiated is lacking some development and Pursuit. Remy Cointreau just continues and keeps the existing concepts but does not develop it further.

All in all, I expect more from Bruichladdich than I saw this year. And I expect it to keep and develop the very same terroir philosophy and earn the right to be named "progressive".  Will they do so? We will see

One of the best distilleries to visit on Islay. Gorgeous location by Loch Indaal. Old fashioned interior and process that contrasts with the highly stylised looking bottles. The staff are enthusiastic, very friendly and welcoming - you get the impression this is the distillery (along with Laphroaig) the locals are most proud of especially as they seem to thrive on creating jobs and keeping young people on Islay. One minor gripe - the main focus appears on first glance to be pushing the Botanist Gin which i fully appreciate as it is a business at the end of the day and Gin is a serious money maker these days but the whisky seems to be playing second fiddle - the Octomore is an expensive bottle and not for everyone, Port Charlotte has been re-branded and given another push but the Laddie seems forgotten a bit  since Mark Reynier and Jim McEwan left the building.
