About Friends of Malt:

We are: The "Friends of Malt" are about 30 “Lovers of Whisk(e)y”, and our passion is mainly the Malt Whisky from Scotland. What are we doing? We meet regularly in our Member’s Room, talking about whisk(e)y and – of course – tasting one or another good dram. We arrange our own tastings, trips to whisky fairs or whisky museums and journeys to Scotland. Our target is to get more informations and knowledge about whisky and Scotland and to share it with our members and all friends of Malt Whisky, who like to join our club or to visit our homepage. But most of all we like to spend cosy evenings together, enjoying good company and good whisky. Where do we meet? The address of our member room: Wein- und Getränkewelt Weiser, Darmstädter Str. 97, 64646 Heppenheim, Germany When do we meet? Every last thursday in a month, starting 8 p.m. Guests are welcome for an informal visit, the costs are € 20,- per person (including whisky and non-alcoholic drinks) Interested? If you like Malt Whisk(e)y, please come and visit us. We are always glad to welcome a new friend of the “water of life”, as the Scots call this stuff.

Fifteen years later, over 5 million people a year are finding their way to Whiskybase and using the most extensive resource of whisky information. As a second celebration bottle we selected a 17 years old Arran from a bourbon barrel.
