About Drum:

I like whisky and its diversity, so I'm not fixed on a region, a country of origin, an age statement, a certain type of whisky or a certain cask aging, but I like to broaden my horizons. For example, I like whisky from Scotland, Ireland, USA, Scandinavia and Germany. I write my tasting notes without any claim to general validity, so they only reflect my personal impressions and associations at the respective time of tasting.

My rating system:

95-100: The ideal of a whisky

90-94: An outstanding whisky with "wow effect"

85-89: A very good whisky. From 85 points I would buy the whisky again!

80-84: Good to average whisky with small compromises in taste.

75-79: A whisky that doesn't meet my taste.

<75: An undrinkable whisky for me.
