About Achany:

everything below 70 Points is not going to be bought (most of the time also not tasted again).

from 70 to 80 is drinkable but question is why I should

from 81 to 85 is most of the time decent stuff, real joy if I get it as a present

from 86 to 89 is interesting, enjoyable, a real good dram, well worth buying and stocking

above 90 is my personal top-notch Whisky of which I always try to have a bottle at home

I personally do think that Scotch Single Malt Whisky is the most interesting spirit available. I do not have any strict rules regarding price, NAS, E150 or whatever. If the Whisky is good it is going to be rated high. I do see the "economic" side of prices and the matter of demand and supply of this spirit. Therefore "high" prices do not necessarily have a "bad" influence on the rating.
