About Vince:

Favs: Yoichi, Lagavulin, GlenDronach, Springbank, Ardbeg, Clynelish, Ben Nevis, Glenfarclas, Caol Ila, Talisker, and Highland Park.  Brora resurrected!  Hopefully Port Ellen soon.  Generally partial to bold (but not one-dimensional) flavours and complex aromas.  More inclined towards old-school distillate-driven whiskies, rather than heavy-handed, engineered use of (new) wood and ever expanding wine finishes.

Scoring: 0-60 not drinkable--down the drain material ; 61-70 flawed, raw, but drinkable when desperate ; 71-75 immature, some flaws, flat, avoid; 76-80 minor off notes, forgettable; 81-85 from middle of the road "safe" to enjoyable, maybe good entry level; 86-90 very good to excellent, worth seeking out; 91-93 exceptional, not to be missed; 94+ lifetime dram, legendary bottling.   Average score: 84   Median score: 85.  Ticklist shows value for money bottles in my view = "go to" bottles generally.

210.000 bottles milestone release

A new release for the 210.000 bottles milestone. We just passed the 210.000 registered bottles, which calls for a new whisky. We selected an M&H pomegranate wine cask, which matured at the dead sea (the lowest point on earth). It is a huge flavor bomb. However, with only 255 bottles available, you should not wait too long.
