Holyrood

Holyrood is the single malt whisky brand of Holyrood Distillery, established in Edinburgh’s Old Town in 2019 by Rob and Kelly Carpenter alongside David Robertson. As the first central-Edinburgh malt distillery since 1925, it produces limited-release expressions—most notably the Arrival series—underpinned by experimentation with yeast strains, specialty malts, and cask varieties. Located beneath Salisbury Crags, the brand combines modern craft distilling with the city’s brewing heritage, offering an urban counterpart to Scotland’s traditional regional sites.
