Hello

I've just been given this bottle of whiskey

Any info on it would be a great help

It is in a metal tube that has a plastic window

The tube is sealed so I can't remove it

What you have there, assuming the bottle inside matches the tube, is a non-age statement Glen Grant, probably from the later 1990s according to Whisky Auctioneer's dating of that label. It will be 3-4 years old, as there was a 5 in the same range.

The closest match I can see here on Whiskybase is this one - follow the shoplink and you'll see it has the same label:

https://www.whiskybase.com/whiskies/whisky/204113/glen-grant-highland-scotch-whisky

The price on that shoplink is fanciful though, even for a magnum - here's an identical recent example going at auction for £30, and the graph shows that's as much as it's ever fetched on that particular site:

The tube shouldn't be sealed, probably just rusted shut. If you can get it open, you can give it a try and provide us with our first ever review for that bottle happy

I agree with inbhirNs £20-£30 all day long, you may as well open it.
