How to learn about maturation

How can I find information on maturation matured in cask. How long in bourbon cask how long in sherry cask or rumcask ect.

Hi, welcome to the forum, are you on about this as a general subject or specific bottlings, all whisky must be matured for at least 3 years in cask regardless.

Many bottlings have the information on their labels but if there is not the relevant bottlers or distillers are usually happy to provide the information, if there is an age statement that is with No Age Statement (NAS) offerings it is much harder to get information.

Drop the bottler an email - if they know they'll often tell you (especially the independent ones).
