Hi fellows,

who can provide information about reading bottle codes?

Often bottling dates can by found out by the bottle codes.

Sometimes the bottling date virtually is the bottle code, that makes it easy.

But for example Edrington (Macallan, Highland Park) have hard to understand bottle codes.

Let's take  L0517A L10 19/10, which is from a Macallan Concept Number 1 bottling.

Can anybody tell me what information is behind that code?

Thanks, Lech Lomond

Just a quick look on google got me this info

2004 = D

2005 = E

2006 = F

2007 = G

2008 = H

2009 = J

2010 = K

2011 = M or N

2012 = P

2013 = R

2014 = S

2015 = T

2016 = W

2017 = Y

Could have started again with A for 2019

Are there hints on the day/month for Edringtons, too?
