So i have been wondering if these two are actually the same Whiskies:

Same vintage, same bottling year, very similar ABV. It seems very likely to me that the 200ml Selection Box bottles are basically left overs after bottling the American version? Has anyone ever tasted both and found them to be remarkably similar?

Well, this is tricky, it can´t be leftovers from the 75 cl versions because the 20 cl from box no. 2 has higher ABV.

They never diluted and was very accurate with measuring ABV, but maybe if the 20 cl version was bottled before the 75 cl version.

Me and some friends tried the two together 15-20 years ago and we all gave the 75 cl version higher score but this is just opinions and no evidence that it´s not the same, i have looked in Ulf Buxruds book Rare Malts but nothing is mentioned.

He only mention that seven of the ten 20 cl bottles that was issued had the same ABV as the 75 cl version.

But someone may have some facts.

Yeah i confused the two ABVs. Tasting notes seem to differ greatly though.
