For the US folks, two baseball greats:  Darren Daulton, 55, and Don Baylor, 68.  Rest in peace.

And yes, RIP "Godzilla".

I'm with you mate, loved him, it's not a shock as I knew he was in the late stages of dementia. R. I. P

I just saw Tanya Tucker on Friday.  She did a nice little tribute to Glen Campbell, but I'm kind of glad the show was last week and not this week* as she might not have been her chipper self.  Her voice was a little raspy (more so than usual), and in hindsight I wonder if she was aware that Campbell didn't have long and that had something to do with it.

*(this week is Gojira... heh heh, how's that for contrast?)

Today I´m raising a glass for Barcelona and my country, Spain. Those fanatics will face the repugnance of the good people. From east to west, we should fight the mysticism and tyranny with the light of freedom, equality and fraternity all over the free world. Hugs, brothers.

British TV legend Bruce Forsyth, Mr Saturday night, the all round entertainer, we will never see his like again. The grand old age of 89, didn't he do well, it's been nice to see ya to see ya nice. R. I. P

To the great John Abercrombie who passed away on Aug 22. I've enjoyed his classic ECM albums  for about 40 years now.

And now I raise a glass of Bunnahabhain 12yo which matches well with Abercrombie's "Timeless" music.  Accessible while continuing to be superbly crafted...can be used to describe both his music and this whisky.

I'll be raising a glass to Grant hart, drummer of punklegends Hüsker Dü and probably best known for his solo radiohit 'all of my senses'. He passed away, only 56: cancer is a bitch!

Screen legend Harry Dean Stanton has died at the age of 91. A star of many of my favourite films. I am going out tonight and I will try and find something special.
