Bury F.C one of the oldest football clubs in the world have been kicked out of the football league and could go out of existence. Bolton Wanderers F.C could follow suit. Dark days for football.

Camilo Sesto, probably the greatest spanish romantic singer, died today at 72. My parents first date was "Jesuschrist Superstar" in the mid 70's, and it had sich and impact in them. Sadly, he become grotesque in his late days. R.I.P.

B movie legend Sid Haig has died aged 80 after an accident apparently, something to do with a spillage. Sid might have knocked over a full open bottle of Port Ellen 40 years old.

R.I.P Sid.

After a hoax newsstory yesterday, it now seems real, unfortunately. Legendary drummer Ginger Baker passed away, aged 80. As an amateur drummer I can't even begin to describe how much he meant to me. A big influence with his style building bridges between jazz and rock drumming, and his work with Fela Kuti, he lead the way for generations of aspiring and accompmlished drummers alike. a notorious pain in the ass for others (his feud with  fellow Cream member Jack Bruce was legendary). I'll break open one of my finer bottles tonight in honour of you, mr. Baker. May your Wheels be forever on fire!

Actor Robert Forster has now left the stage. He has been in many things but most remember him from Tarantino's Jackie Brown. R.I.P

Ron Carey, generous, well-known and well-liked philanthropist in our area.    Best known for his vintage vehicle collection housed at the Gasoline Alley Museum in Heritage Park, it's something else.

(you folks in the UK probably heard about it.  He was killed during a veteran car run south of London when his vintage car inadvertently ended up on a freeway.  They haven't said the cause of the accident but I suspect it was a rear-ending where a big-rig driver didn't see the slower-moving antique until it was too late.  His wife is in critical condition, best wishes to her)

R.I.P. Raymond Poulidor, legend of cycling. He was perhaps one of Frances most beloved cyclists ever, 'the man who always came in second' as he had to compete with the likes of Anquetil and Merckx, he never managed to win The Tour de France, but that didn't stop him from having a fantastic carreer indeed.

Ever hear of Waturu Misaka?  Me neither.  So why am I posting him here.  He was the first non-white to play in the NBA.  An American of Japanese decent he played for Utah in college and was drafted to the NBA.  Unlike Jackie Robinison, he didn't get much publicity nor playing time but he did manage to break the barrier in the NBA.  RIP Wat.
