The new Octomores have been announced and due to me being in the States I have not even been able to taste the 09.3 or the 3rd 10yo yet! Substantially lower ppm's and the 10.4 is the youngest ever with its 3 years!

It's starting to look like a slippage in quality to what we've expected from Octomore. I did not like the 8.4 at all and have past on the 9.1 as that seems by many below average. The 9.3 it terrific and that's the only one of the 9s I've purchased. And that looks the same for the 10s as well, I'll be getting the 10.3 but that's it. 

Octomore may have run its course as not all good things last forever.

I have opened and shared a couple bottles of the 09.1 with friends.

It's still Octomore and a good dram that gets people talking, but indeed not the quality of old.


Don't think i've tasted the 08.4 yet...
