Can you help me - I tried to add a Samaroli - New Filling Malt - British Spirit and Lambda was writing back und agreed that it is a Longrow - days later the request was denied.

Here is e.g. a shop link (it´s worth to buy I needed a long time to get it and paid more).

Now it´s added as a Springbank but it´s definitely  a Longrow.

How can this be changed?

Hi rgrain,

It is now called "Springbank", because the distillery is Springbank, but I agree with you that is Springbank's peated variant (so it would be branded "Longrow" by Springbank). Here on WhiskyBase, however, the brands refer to the actual brands which are on the label.

There are several other examples in the base, for example:

is from the Springbank distillery, but is also "Longrow" (it could be branded as such).

Hope this clear it up! If you disagree, it is best to contact an admin, such as Bacchus.

Thx for the update - I did not know this but it´s confusing because it´s everywhere listed as a Longrow - so if I would search for the bottle I really would never think that this bottle is that one I´m searching but maybe I´m just too new whiskybase. Thx for the explaination, Roland

This BBR wasn't allowed to call it Longrow. So they called it peated springbank. You can't find the name longrow on the label.
