Color

Nose
Viel Vanille und sehr weich. Hintergründig finden sich noch einige Alpenkräuter.

Taste
Süß, leicht, weich. Vanille und ordentlich Fasswürze. Klassische Bourbon Reifung.

Finish
Etwas bitter und viel würze. Verschwindet schnell wieder aus dem Mund.

Comments

Schwacher Malt, sehr eindimensional und nichtssagend.

The trick for this whiskey, which is exquisite, is to let it oxidize with care.

After a few months, it acquires a much more powerful finish and a truly stronger initial taste.

Truly one of Glenmorangie's best. Underrated, under-appreciated, and due to its hard to attain nature, under-reviewed. Easily the equivalent of far more expensive scotches.

An essential to have for a Glenmorangie lover, and a beautiful addition to any scotch collection.

Color
White wine
Nose

The nose of this one here is similar to a white wine. Ripe grapes and some melt butter. Mellow citrus notes, some cherry and also some vanilla.

Taste

Vanilla and some cherry, memories of an Silvaner white wine, I had last week in a pub. Cooked fruits that have already lost taste, some unripe pears and unripe pineapples. A bit weak in taste, at least in the beginning

Finish

In the end it is getting briny and dry. Vanilla and citrus notes fade increasingly. Sorry, but i cant call that finish... A bit disappointing.

Comments

It is well suited as an aperitif. I have to admit, this bottle here remained half full for a quite while in the basement!... Result?... In my opinion much better because of some oxidation!

The best Glenmorangie I have ever drunk. Well balanced, really smooth with sweet vanilla.

But according to what I have heard, Cellar 13 won´t longer offered (at least in Germany). sad

Matured in a warehouse by the sea, this Glenmorangie has a more salty,
fresh character with a whiff of iodine. Originally for Duty Free only.

I like my whisky old and my women young!
