Nose:  first of: dry oak wood +, sherry +/o,  mineral/sandy +/o, raisins +/o,  candle wax / parafin o, caramel o, marzipan o,  chocolate o, (87)
Later: quite a change - mineral notes dissapear,  wood gets more bourbon-vanilla-y & less dry and even some charred wood, candle wax leans more towards beeswax, also a great mixture of fruits that wasn`t there before - guava, orange-peel, oven cooked lemon slices, strawberries & cream. A bit of honey & leather as well. (93)
Palate: wood, quite a lot of it, but not drying nor unpleasant, a few fruits poke their head through but are immediately covered by some vanilla, leather & woody (again) notes (91)
Finish: honey & beeswax, then some more complex woody vanilla again, bitter & sweet notes interchanging, candied mango, slightly artificial apple esters, weed/hemp (92)
Later: some chocolate notes come into play as well (but this takes a long time +90mins)

Comment: I found this to get more fruity & rather excellent if I let it breathe in the glass for 30-60 mins. 

Remember - whisky scores and impressions are highly subjective and situational by nature - so don't go and buy whisky according to someone else's taste...

Color

Jonquiripe corn

Nose

D’abord fruité, sur la pêche bien mûre et la mirabelle. Transition pâtissière, de la Tarte tatin sortant du four ? Discrètement floral, pointe de pivoine. Viennent ensuite des notes plus austères, minérales et incisives, avec de la pierre mouillée.

Taste

 Douce, sucrée et huileuse. Pas besoin de le réduire et dâ€

Finish

C’est avant tout fruité mais point d'exubérance tropicale comme j'ai pu lire dans plusieurs tastings. Un dram presque éteint. C’est bien rond mais rien ne se dégage vraiment. Ahh si un peu de chêne, fine amertume. Un peu de vanille. Salivation.

Euh en deux mot : Easy drinkable ! Mais pour moi c’est trop fondu… Sample de 3cl, bouteille au ¼, ouverture inconnue. Ceci explique peut-être cela !

Nose

very nice sherry nose but different than I would expect, a lot more subtle. all very soft but concentrated with honey wax, flowerfields,  leather, some  wood. also a lot of sweet notes, warm caramel, chocolate and a little vanilla. after some time and a drop of water it get's more fruity. dried fruits and a lot of apricots if I'm not mistaken.

Taste

mead, tea, Werther's, hints of herbs like parsley. all tastes are very soft but densed. the alcohol feels and tastes just like mint.

Finish

very long. spicey, sherry, some mint and then a continuation of the great taste. this is what I call a finish. :-)

Comments

superb whisky, this whisky is far more subtler than I can describe it. I like the concetrated but soft taste and the minty taste/feel of the alcohol.
