Color
Jonquiripe corn
Nose
Fortement tourbé, des épices, du vieux bois et du bois exotique (cèdre?), des notes de citron, de vanille sèche. Des pointes sucrées après aération, évoquant la liqueur et la crème. Superbe. évoque un vieil Ardbeg.
Taste
Très puissante et huileuse. La première impression toutefois se fait sur le citron vert et une légère amertume. Etrange... On retrouve ensuite des notes fumées, un peu d'agrumes, de la cendre. Puis se démarquent le sucre, les touches sherry.
Finish
Interminable, avec encore la tourbe, des notes d'agrumes confits. Mais cela reste peu complexe.
Comments
Un très bon Port Ellen, mais je crois que je m'attendais à mieux.
Un peu d'amertume en bouche et une finale simple (mais interminable).
Mauvais rapport qualité/prix (enfin, pour un Port Ellen, c'est un commentaire surfait).

Color
Pale gold
Nose
superbe nez après quelques minutes, sur une tourbe très légère et très
fine, très marin, citronné, un peu de pommes et de vanille aussi, très
légèrement sucré mais aucun arôme du sherry.
Taste
La bouche est plus puissante que ce que laissait envisager le nez, un
peu grasse, toujours cette légère tourbe, le citron, l'iode, un peu de
noisette et de vanille aussi. L'ajout d'eau ne fait que le rendre plus
agressif.
Finish
Finale très longue, épicée.
Comments
Le nez est au-dessus du reste à mon avis.

Color
Pale straw
Nose
Very maritime nose, seaweed and seashells.
Some vanilla with ripe apples and a little peat.
Love it...
Taste
Sweet, creamy a loveley fruitiness with
vanilla and more peat as expected.
Finish
Long and rich finish with much peat some salt and smoke.

Love this PE,recommended.
