It contains the character and complexity of all The Glenrothes

expressions with a zestiness which may pleasantly surprise even the most
regular of Glenrothes enthusiasts. This 1988 vintage has benefited from more
than two decades maturing in a combination of Spanish sherry and American oak
casks. It was bottled for the Asian market only.
I like my whisky old and my women young!

Color

Auburn
Nose
Lots of cinnamon and raisin. The bouquet is very soothing. safe to add a drop or two of water but no more than that, so as not to dilute the scotch.
Taste
nutmeg, vanilla, sherry, some caramel apple. Some dried fruit
Finish
very nice, one of the better vintages coming from the late 80's to date in my opinion.
Comments
Can't wait for this to hit the states. By the time these two are done well be looking for more.

Remember it\'s maturity that makes whisky great! That\'s why I Love The Glenrothes!

Wonderful nose, initial taste is exciting and much like the 85` lots of body and the finish is more explosive. Price is excellent for a 20 yr and presentation is the new box type.

I love this vintage. The taste and nose is so different from the 87`, 89` or even the 85` for that matter. I purchased it from Scotland and it arrived in mint condition here in the USA. I believe it should hit the states some time next year in 2012. From what I remember it is replacing the 85`. Enjoy now and on any occasion.
