Color

Deep gold

Nose

Extraordinary. Very linseedy with faint acetone, leather and cocoa. Very nice indeed.

Taste

Good attack with barley sugars, cocoa, bright spices and citrus.

Finish

Nice citrus with a long, lovely, spicy finish.

Comments

A very fine dram

 

It's better to have drunk it all than never to have drunk at all.

Deep gold

Nose

A fruity mix of cherries, gooseberries and huckleberries, together with vanilla and toffee. Small notes of salt.

Taste

Wonderful dark chocolate with small hints of flavours.

Finish

Pleasant warm and long lasting, very balanced.

Comments

The Glenrothes is a fine drink for a good evening, the value for the money is very high.

Nose

Berries, stewed plums and rhubarb, and blackcurrant.

Taste

Complex combination of maltiness, wet grass, toffee and cooked fruit.

Finish

Long, soft and raisined.

This was an amazing find. I had been searching for the 2005 bottling and still am actually when I same across this at a location in Scotland. I live in the US so I had it shipped. It arrived in great shape. I have yet to open it because it is the only one I have and I haven`t found another one yet, just like the  2005 bottling. The 91` vintage is one of those years that was outstanding in all respects. This vintage a enjoy having anytime with friends.

Remember it\'s maturity that makes whisky great! That\'s why I Love The Glenrothes!
